With a commitment to sustainability, and a passion for beauty, we grow unique varieties of flowers and foliage to create gorgeous seasonal floral designs for weddings, events and more.
I’m Jacky Surber, owner and farmer-florist. I’m a homesteader at heart and I find immense joy in trying to live and work in harmony with nature.
At Alpenglow Gardens we are passionate about providing locally grown flowers that are both gorgeous and sustainable, from seed to bouquet. We are committed to non-toxic farming and environmentally-friendly design practices that generate less waste and have a lighter carbon footprint.
Our home and farm is taking root on land that has been home to the Paiute and Shoshone people since time immemorial. Payahuunadü means "land of the flowing water" and we are doing our best to respect the land we are on, the water that flows through it and the people around us.
With respect to the majestic area we live in, the Bishop Creek Watershed, a unique and stunning area of the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains, we seek to celebrate the beauty of the changing seasons and surrounding landscapes through our floral designs.
al·pen·glow (noun) / ˈa l p ə nˌ ɡ l ō /
the rosy light of the setting or rising sun seen on mountains; appearing at the times of day we enjoy working in the gardens most.
